Why AL Integral Hoofcare?
I'll try to describe it from my point of view as an advanced and experienced therapist.
Early on in my therapeutic career, I realized that hoof pathologies need to be treated differently and that the causes need to be found at the site of the problem, namely directly on the hoof.
My knowledge and skills in acupuncture, homeopathy, phytotherapy, etc. are very profound and wide-ranging.
I have successfully treated many horses with serious illnesses. But I have never been able to bring hoof patients to a satisfying and lasting healing process.
I have found that the alternative therapy methods are often also based on false assumptions, i.e. the theories as to what causes hoof diseases, just like conventional medicine. The causes are solely to be found in the hoof anatomy or rather in incorrect hoof treatment.
As a therapist, you should never stand still and should do your own research. Otherwise you will only imitate predefined teachings and not come to any conclusions of your own. Never know whether all these teachings, books and theories are correct.

Back to the hooves. So I started very early on in my work to look for methods and people who could teach me the right things. I worked with many farriers and hoof trimmers. But none of these hoof professionals could give me proper and convincing answers. Only one farrier went on a journey with me to apply different trimming methods on bad hooves.
We had mixed results, sometimes the horses got better, often nothing at all.
We didn't use some hoof trim methods because they only work well in a clinical environment.

So I was left alone with my unanswered questions. And that for many years. I worked on my horses' hooves myself for 12 years and generally did a good job, none of my horses developed hoof diseases. This was confirmed by my mentor Dr. Maksida Vogt, when I released my horses into the "wild" in her centers.

And this is where my years of searching for answers finally began to find a haven. The AL Integral Hoofcare treatment developed by Dr. Maksida Vogt provided me with everything I needed to finally have the complete connections. Especially the important research on wild horses. Because only horses that are born free in the wild, free from any human "care" and have strong natural genetics can be our guide to what a healthy horse actually is.

And very importantly - the decades of work, research and results of Dr. Maksida Vogt are well documented. Hundreds of horses have been successfully treated. All this convinced me. I have seen the cases with my own eyes and experience them on a daily base, as I work closely with Dr. Maksida Vogt.

An anatomically correct trim is the key, not only for hoof diseases, but for the entire body. Hooves are not just horn structures on which the horse should stand reasonably comfortably, but the hooves are an important metabolic organ. They are extremely important for good blood circulation, especially for the heart. They are heavily involved in the entire metabolic process. They are essential for a smooth and functional musculoskeletal system and much more...

Without healthy or healing hooves, no therapy will work. I can say that with certainty and experience.

I can therefore only advise all horse owners, no matter what disease you are dealing with, start with the hooves. And, of course, with the living conditions. Without natural, horse-friendly environments, plenty of movement and natural feeding, it will not work in the long term.
